Under the Sea

Seems lately, in between finishing all our projects around the house, keeping our house organized and clean to sell and just all the hustle and bustle of daily life, we haven't had much time to do anything too fun with the girls. So, we thought, this Saturday we would do just that- have fun. Because, as many of you know, in Seattle, what you do is so predicated by the weather, and of course, that day was rainy, we decided to head indoors to the Seattle Aquarium. It had been years since either Jake nor I had been there. I think there was a reason to that... but more on that later. The whole point was to have fun as a family, spend time together and get out from underneath all the stress and anxiety we've been feeling lately and just RELAX. For that, it was good. As you can see, the girls were pretty thrilled to see so many fish and creatures they'd never seen before. Well... as thrilled as my girls get!

Kennedy, being the quite timid person she is, wasn't so sure about touching the starfish. Of course, daddy has something else in mind for her.

The octopus tank was quite spectacular. This guy, unfortunately, was at the end of his life. Although octopus are nocturnal, this guy was pretty active for us all.
