Christmas

I'm sure our Christmas morning looked much like everyone else's. Full of anticipation, excitement and joy. I love capturing the girls' expressions when they turn that corner. It's a mix of "wow, he really came!" and "look at all those presents!"

This little one loved the excitement of her sister's too, but mostly loved all the paper.

Kennedy's "wish list" to Santa this year didn't include anything specific. Rather, she said she wanted Santa to "surprise her." I think he did a pretty good job.

Pieper scored a few new toys from Santa and some essentials from mom and dad.

And I couldn't leave Jake out without showing how excited he was to FINALLY be receiving THIS.

So, after the fun of opening gifts, we spent the next couple hours cleaning up our mess... but it was so worth it.

This was our first Christmas that we actually stayed HOME the majority of the day. We usually open, eat and then hurry off to our families. This year, instead, we enjoyed relaxing, napping, kids playing, and a jammy-wearing kind of day. It was lovely.
