To the Pumpkin Patch We Go

It was a horribly rainy day. I thought, for sure, our plans of going to the pumpkin patch with my family would most certainly be cancelled. After terrential downpours and thunder all afternoon, I debated on if I even wanted to be outside! Thoughts of last year's pumpkin patch experience lingered in my mind... it was so beautiful. So sunny. So perfect. But, sometimes sunny days around here aren't just realistic, so on goes the rainboots and raincoats and out the door we go! Unfortunately, Jake had to work all day, so it was up to me and the girls (with the help of my dad!) to get us all there and have some fun! We met up with the whole gang and thankfully the rains decided to stop for a bit...
Here's part of the cousin troop hiding out in the barnyard while it POURED outside. Aren't they SO cute!
The day wouldn't be complete without a horse ride for Kennedy. Pieper wasn't a fan, so I didn't even try wasting my money.

Even though there was PLENTY of water everywhere else, the girls still insisted on playing WITH the water!

About 2 steps into the pumpkin patch, Kennedy found "the one." She was delighted with her choice and I was delighted we didn't have to trudge through ALL THAT MUD.

I attempted to get the "infamous" shots on the pumpkins for Ireland, but she insisted on something else...

trying to EAT the stem. Hmmm... teething??? Maybe.

At last! A shot with all three of my beauties!

And then we were off to Scott and Amy's for a delightful dinner, awesome crafts and yummy cookie-decorating for the kids. Thank you all! We had a blast!

Your family activities always make me so jealous! You are totaly blessed/lucky to have such fun family around.
Your pics all turned out beautiful - but how could they not with those angels you have!

Sarah, the last picture of your girls is sooooooo cute!!!! Looks like the patch was fun, we passed on the pumpkins last weekend (after sitting through Jarom's game in the soaking rain- that did us all in) however, not sure if tommorrow will be any better.
