Nice, hot, sunny days have been few and far in between so far this summer, but a couple weeks ago, the sunshine decided to grace us with its presence and we decided to take full advantage. When our good friends suggested they were going to have a "beach day" at a local beach, we decided to tag along. Once there, we decided everyone else had the same great idea so we opted for plan B- going to my parents house 5 minutes away and enjoying our own PRIVATE beach. It was perfect.
The kids loved picnicking, exploring for snails (they gathered 84!), going for a row-boat ride and most of all, enjoying being together!
