Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. We spent the early afternoon visiting Jake's grandma at the hospital. She was admitted earlier in the week and wasn't expected to do well. It was nice to have time to reflect on the blessings of family and be with her for a couple hours.
Afterwords, we buzzed off to make it in time for dinner at my parents home. This year everything tasted especially good, but the fun we had with our family was even better. My aunt, uncle and cousin were able to join us this year and it made it that much more special. We played a fun game trying to guess what people were thankful for. I love hearing what the kids wrote. I think Pieper wrote down everything she looked around and saw. Kennedy, on the other hand, said some very sweet things.

The next day was filled with a photoshoot for me in the morning and then off to meet everyone for pizza and gingerbread houses later that afternoon. It's become an annual tradition and the kids love creating their own. This year we created our own little village. Pieper's house in on the left, Kennedy's on the right and we added Ireland's a little later.
