An Early Snow

We were surprised the week of Thanksgiving with some cold, white stuff. Besides being the week of parent-teacher conferences, and school being canceled an extra two days, it was rather fun being hunkered-up for a couple days, pulling out all the mismatched snow gear and playing with friends outside. It was probably the most miserable to Jake who was on his last clinical rotation at Kindred Hospital in Seattle and it took him 6 hours to get home! He eventually made it home and just in time to catch a few hours of shut-eye before heading back!

On the first day of our snowfall, Kennedy was at school for a 1/2 day. Pieper was so excited for her to get home so they could play outside together, but when we put on all her gear, this is what a got.

A VERY unhappy 4-year old.

I literally had to pick her up and set her outside. Hence the frowny-face and sour attitude. What can I say?! The girl is very particular about what she wears and how it feels. She HATED this ensemble.

But, this one was all excited to get out there and make the cutest little snowman.

She eventually made it past the deck, but her pouting still persisted.

Until, of course, we saw some friends and she decided it would be MUCH more fun to join in rather than throw a fit.

So. Much. Better.

I can't believe that the NW has more snow than we have! It is FINALLY snowing here for the first time in months! Love Pieper...she reminds me of a boy in my house!
