Last week was Jake's first week of clinical rotations. He'll be spending the next 7 weeks at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. And since it was the girls' mid-winter break, we decided to tag along. Jake left on Wednesday while we decided to stay back and head over on Friday. Since Jake works 12-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm (or until they're done charting, etc.), we were pretty much on our own the whole time. Nevertheless, we had fun filling our time with some relaxing activities. We stayed at a FABULOUS hotel (who would've thought in M.L.?!). We swam, hung out in the room, took walks and relaxed. The girls made some friends with another family that was staying there and had lots of fun swimming with them. Even though it was for only two days AND it WAS in Moses Lake, it was just what I needed.

Jake and his brother are lucky enough to be staying with the parents of some of friend's in our ward. The live on a farm and wanted to make sure the girls got to experience some of the farm life. Needless to say, Pieper was NOT having it and well, Kennedy, took some coaxing to finally warm up to the whole idea.
Overall, Jake's first three days on were very successful and adventurous. He saw a lot of action at the hospital and has already learned a lot. It's going to be a bit of a sacrifice on both our ends having him back-and-forth for the next 7 weeks, but we are so excited to be on our way! I am SO proud of him and all that he's accomplished this past year.
