I've been wanting to write this small tribute for awhile now. I should have known from the day Ireland was born, that Kennedy would make a great big sister. But, it's been through the past seven weeks that it's truly been manifested to me. I honestly don't know some days what I would do without her. I'd like to think that her nurturing is something I have taught to her, but honestly, it's just innate. It's amazing to me how she "just knows." Just knows when Ireland is tired, just knows when she is hungry or just knows when all she wants is mommy. I love seeing how sensitive and sweet and loving she is towards her. I've seen this with Pieper too. Many times when I've been at my whits end, Kennedy has stepped in to console Pieper or give her loves. I feel very fortunate to have this little girl as my daughter. I've been so blessed with three individual and unique little girls. This one is just paving the way. I love you, sis. And thank you.

that is sooooo sweet... i am excited to see my girls with their baby brother too! such a precious part of having more than one child, to see their sibling bonds and see them take care of eachother...
I had a feeling she'd be quit the big sister from the moment she walked into the hospital room. She was so taken with Ireland. while everyone was standing around talking she was up on that little stool touching her and just staring. She showed more interest in her baby sister than any other child I've seen, even far older ones. You've got a special little spirit there!
One of the great joys is having babies when you children are OLDER than toddlers and can be a real help and joy to have with you! You don't get that until you have three!
Very sweet, sounds like you've got a big-helper on your hands which is ALWAYS so wonderful!
Sarah - hey since I don't have any other way to get a hold of you I thought I would leave you a comment. And, since I know Loni will never be proactive and reach out to Jake to plan something, I wanted to see if you wanted to go out to dinner on June 5 for Loni's birthday. I want to go to this little Italian Restaurant on Alki called La Rustica. Let me know if you guys want to come. Or you can call me - 206.734.9365. It was fun talking with you at JJ's birthday party. Talk to you soon!
wow, how sweet Sarah! That is so precious!! Older siblings are the best...wish I had one sometimes!!
This is so tender! I'm sure some of her sweetness comes from her AMAZING mother!! :)
Those photos really show what you wrote. And that sweet little newborn head!!!
