We had visions of sifting our feet through the sand, soaking up the rays on a Hawaiian beach and going sans kids for at least a week. Instead, I had to rescue Jake from work after his car broke down on his way home, we barely made it to our couple's massage, my parents came over to watch the kids (because one is a very needy 6-month old), we grabbed take-out from the Italian restaurant in town and came home just in time to put the kids to bed, scarf down dinner and snap a quick self-portrait of ourselves 10-years later. And oh yeah, enjoy the homemade cheesecake that I barely squeezed time in to make. Boy it's been an adventurous 10-years but I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else.
