Seafair Torchlight Run/Parade

On a crazy whim, a couple weeks before our treacherous race, Ragnar, I decided it'd be fun to sign up for ANOTHER race (yet shorter, simpler)- the Seafair Torchlight 8k. I somehow managed to rope 6 of my favorite running friends and my niece into doing it with me. This is what it looked like right before the race... but about 5x as more! There were 5,000 runners!

My niece, Brittany, and I right before the race started.

And right after...

The race route was really fun and beautiful. It took us around the north end of Seattle down along the viaduct so we had some amazing views of the Puget Sound and the skyline.

These little girls did awesome while waiting for mommy to finish the race. They loved hanging out with daddy and snacking on all the free food!

My fantastic group of running friends. I love these ladies!

And the parade after...
Kennedy & Pieper were thrilled to see all the floats, drill teams and princesses.

Daddy was just excited to hit up Bucca di Beppo afterwards!

What a great evening!

Wow, what a fun day and night, tiring for you and me just to think about but I'm sure it was and from the pics it looks fun! I have such great family memories of the Torch Light Parade.
