The Fourth

Celebrating the 4th of July started with the annual ward party. With a warm, homemade breakfast and a parade for the kids, it was a great way to kick-off the weekend.

Being that the actual day of the 4th fell on a Sunday this year, we decided to play it very low-key and stick around home. We didn't even buy any fireworks. So, the girls spent the first little while watching all the fireworks shows around us complimentary of our neighbors. They much preferred watching them from "inside" the house.

But then we spotted our good friends across the street having fun, so we thought we'd crash on them. It turned out to be a fun night. And they were pretty happy we joined them!

But why does he always insist on doing this?!?
