Kennedy's favorite waterslide entailed a big raft, lots of turns and dips and daddy alongside of her. Such a thrill-seeker! She also loved the wave pool.
Pieper and Ireland were rather content just watching and dipping their toes in the water. Pieper never left our sides and getting her to go down a waterslide took some major convincing- or not. I told her I'd go with her, but upon reaching the top, they informed me that it was single-rider only. Uh-oh. I debated knowing that she'd FREAK out and hearing her beg me not to go, almost made me turn around and walk down. BUT, with Pieper, I know sometimes we just have to push her a little. Literally. AND, I knew Jake would be royally disappointed. So, with all the mommy-guilt in the world, I sat her down while she's fighting me and gave her a hug and kiss and pushed her down the slide. My heart about broke. I said, "it's okay, mommy loves you." Ugh. It still gets to me know! I watched her go down quickly hitting the first turn and flipping her body backwards. Thankfully she was okay, I was quick to follow, and gave her lots of good praise. AND, only hours later she was bragging herself up!
Later that night, the girls and I enjoyed storytime in the Grand Lobby.

It was a fun trip and really good to spend time together as a family. I definitely think we'll be heading there again!

I love the story of you and Pieper. That was brave of you! I love it!!
Kaiya has been to the Lodge and loves it there. She has been begging us to go as a family so maybe this summer. Looks fun!!
Looks like a lot of fun. I think if we went, we'd have to do the "Pieper solution" with both of our kiddies!
Looks so fun! Every time we saw the commercial on TV last summer my kids begged and begged to go...too bad we ran out of time!
Looks like a blast! We are planning to go this summer when Jessica is here with her family. So I am glad to see you all had fun!
