The adults quickly set up camp while the kids didn't waste time in getting their toys out and making themselves right at home.

And being the fabulous grandma that she is, my mom always comes armed with lots of crafts and activities for the kids. Here they are making their very own "cousins camp" shirts.

That night I made dinner for everyone- spaghetti with french bread and corn on the cob. Not too bad for outdoor cooking! Bedtime was a little rough with the girls being a little nervous about sleeping outside in a tent for the first time. I, too, didn't sleep much nervous about being alone with just me and the girls and having Ireland wake up in the middle of the night. But, we survived and each night got a little easier and easier after that.

The next day was much of the same except we got a little goofier and some got a little more tired.
Here is the crew preparing to run down the hill and into the water.
And then it just got crazy!
And as we prepared to go home and break down camp, my mom, once again, provided an activity for the kids to keep them busy.
A huge thank you to all my family for all your help with me and the girls. We had such a great time! Here's to hoping we make this a family tradition for years to come!

Looks soooo fun! I just love family activities like this! (have your kids started school yet?)
Looks like a really fun family camping outing, I bet Jake was sad he missed the fun- but all the more to look forward to for next year huh? And look at you, such an ambitious trooper w/ your three little ones, very impressed! The kids and older kids all sounded to have a blast!
You are a brave girl but it looks like it was worth it. You sure have been a busy mom this summer but it sounds like you've had a great time.
I too have camped without a hubby so I must say I am seriously impressed that you did it with 3 kids and one of those so tiny. It looks like you had so much fun!
