Lake Chelan- Labor Day Weekend

Tradition has it that we typically spend Labor Day weekend at Lake Chelan with Jake's family. This year though, plans were on hold until the last minute (and I do mean last minute!) until I was cleared of being exposed to the 5th disease (being pregnant it can become a little problematic). BUT, at 10:30 Friday morning, I was cleared by my OB and we started packing our bags. I've gotten the packing thing down to a science now so by time daddy got home from work we were ready to go- house clean, car organized and packed and all! We arrived at 8:30 that evening with a VERY anxious Kennedy waiting to see her cousins.
Saturday we all ventured to the water park in town and let the kids have hours of slippery, wet and crazy fun. They loved it.

Afterwards, the guys went golfing while the girls stayed at the house and do what girls do best (wink, wink)- make dinner!

Sunday we went to church at the small ward in town. Afterwards we hit up the local Hawaiian Shaved Ice stand in Manson for some after-sabbath sinning (we're on vacation, right?!?). Our plans were to take the kids out on the boat later that day, but since a storm rolled in late in the afternoon, we only made it as far as the playground by the beach.
So, while the girls did this...

Pieper was very happy to do this...

Aren't they cute!

Monday was probably my most favorite day of all. Since we planned on leaving late in the evening to avoid Labor Day traffic, we had all day to play! We loaded up the boat and kids and headed down to our favorite spot on the Columbia River (a local hotspot tourists don't know about!). The girls each took a turn on the tube and the awards go as follow:

Most Fearless- Noelle & Zoeie
Most Brave- Naomi, Bailee, Kennedy & Pieper
Most Dead Weight- ME!

Yep, even I couldn't resist a ride on the tube!

The father-daughter duo.

The rest of the day was spent playing and relaxing on the beach. Doesn't get any better than that!

Here are the bathing beauties...
