A 32nd Birthday Celebration

I turned the big 3-2 yesterday. It was a good day. The day started with the usual get-up, get-ready and rush to preschool routine. After dropping Kennedy off at preschool, my friend, Kim and I joined forces and went to do some pre-birthday celebrating therapy. Off we went to get our eyebrows threaded (which if any of you are interested in- it's amazing! You should check out our eyebrows!) Then off to Target to stock up on some essentials (not really part of the birthday celebrating) but fun to have a buddy along to talk you into non-essential things. A quick jont home just in time to have a visit from my visiting teachers was followed up with picking up the girls and lunch at the Black Diamond Bakery. Kim royally treated me AND the girls to a yummy lunch and messy cookies. A last-minute fall from Pieper almost ruined the day with an instant black and blue goose-egg on her forehead, but after some much needed rest, no need to rush to the emergency room. A couple hours later, Jake came home, we got gussied up and picked up Kim and Troy for a pre-show dinner at The Palomino in Seattle. The restaurant was modern, sophisticated, chic and the food was very tasty.

(I think Jake is drunk on love here!!!)

With just enough time to walk a few blocks to the Paramount, we arrived with only minutes to spare. The show started and ended with a bang and everything in between was amazing. The music, costuming and set design was beautiful.

As if we hadn't consumed enough calories for the evening, we decided to stop off at The Cheesecake Factory for a slice of cheesecake. What's a birthday without all-day celebrating?!? The birth-day promptly ended when we pulled in a midnight- how appropriate. It was definitely a day worth celebrating!!!

How incredibly embarrassing. Your visiting teachers didn't even remember it was your birthday! We will have to make it up to you.

Happy Birthday Sarah! Sounds like you had a fabulous day. I've decided that next year I'm going to adopt the birthday month theory. For the rest of the month you can buy what you want and get away with anything, all you have to do is say, "hey it's my birthday month". You should try it and let me know how it goes.

Sarah- I've been threading my eyebrows for a couple of years now- I love it! Looks like you had a great birthday. I'm going to throw Jen a Housewarming/30th B-Day party next month- so I'll send you guys an invite. Did I tell you they bought a gorgeous home in Maple Valley- I wonder if they are in your ward now?
