Halloween

The girls look so forward to Halloween.  They take the job of dressing-up very seriously, but thank heavens, this year, they were all very satisfied with what the Halloween box from years past had to offer.

We got a little jump on the celebrating with our ward Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook-off.  I was in charge of the chili cook-off judging and the kids all participated in a costume parade.  Afterwards they hit up the trunk or treat and scored on way-too-much candy.

Pieper obviously thought this was the.best.over.
We had a rather quiet night on Halloween- I decided to stay back and pass out candy while Jake took the girls & Crew out.  Kennedy met up with some friends and we let them do the neighborhood by themselves.  The kids all came back with buckets full and happy faces.  Crew took no time getting caught up to the trick-or-treating.  He was running from house to house keeping Jake in the dust.  I think Jake came home more tired than the kids!

And here's the line-up for this year:

Ireland, the Pirate.
 Pieper, the "Good Witch."
 And Kennedy, the Hippie. :)
While we had to bribe and literally pin this little guy down to put this adorable costume on.

Crew, the Lion.
My favorite memory from the night was Crew dumping out his candy on the floor (just like his sisters) and then proceeding to lay literally on top of his pile and say "mine, mine, mine!"

It was a Happy (and FUN!) Halloween!
