Thanksgiving was WONDERFUL this year! We spent 3 1/2 days at a gorgeous home in Suncadia with the whole Kober clan.
We all arrived around noon'ish on Thursday, got settled in, explored the place and property a bit before diving into the Thanksgiving preparations.
Thankfully we all divided up the meal preparations so getting things ready wasn't too crazy. The meal was delicious, as usual, and our conversations were just as lively! The kids did a couple crafts and we all enjoyed hanging out and eating lots of good food.
Friday we lounged around all day and it.was.lovely. I took a 5-mile run at lunchtime along the golf-course trails and saw a small herd of buck. Although it was lightly raining, it was such a good run and I loved being out in nature taking it all in. There was a lot of game playing, movie watching, crafting, chatting and relaxing. It was much enjoyed!
Saturday we spent the afternoon in Leavenworth. The town was busy and the shops were crowded but it was fun to get in the Christmas spirit and spend some time walking the streets and being together. Not so fun for mom when she tripped and fell and hurt her back and knee. But, like Thanksgivings in the past, this was right on par too. :)
It sure was chilly out!
I am so grateful for this time of year that we can truly reflect on all that we are thankful for. I have an amazing family, wonderful, sweet children, a good husband, gospel truths and a healthy body that allows me to enjoy such blessings. Spending Thanksgiving with those that I truly love and adore made those blessings even more apparent. Thank you mom and dad!
