This is my 3rd year running this race. Between the crowds, going with your bestest girlfriends, running along the parade route and accomplishing your goals, it remains one of my favorite races. I had a goal of running a sub-9 minute mile or under 45 minutes and I did it! Even if it was just barely! My official time was 44:57. Those darn hills right at the finish really did me in. It felt great to accomplish this goal I set for myself and my trustee friend and running partner, Rachael, did it with me. We have run every Torchlight together and even last year with us being 5+ months pregnant. It felt GREAT to be back faster and stronger.
