Pieper Turns Four

This little girl arrived in quite the hurry.
Four hours to be exact from start to finish.
So fast in fact that mommy had to have her a la' natural because she couldn't wait for the epidural to kick in.
She was born at 7:41 p.m. weighing in at 8 lbs. 14 oz.

What a sweet baby she was.

Pieper didn't quite enjoy her first birthday. Mommy didn't plan too well in advance and scheduled a round of her shots earlier that day, so she was NOT a happy baby. Unfortunately, she went to bed early that night and missed most her party.

I wised up when she turned two and had a very SIMPLE party with just the four of us on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Cake, ice cream and a few presents. All a two-year old really wants.

For her 3rd birthday, we were having crazy warm weather the whole week of her birthday. I planned an impromptu party with a few neighborhood kids and what'd know... it cooled down and was cloudy the day of her party. The kids didn't seem to mind and she was happy with her Mickey Mouse decorations and her chocolate cake.

Now at 4, she finally had her first "big girl" party with just a few of her girlfriends. Pieper has completed her first year of preschool, is a Sunbeam and knows all the primary songs (she faithfully sings them around the house!), is fiesty and sweet all at the same time, loves to snuggle any chance she gets, climbs into bed with her parents routinely every night about the same time, loves to ride her tricycle and play with her toys and has become quite the little artist. She's sensitive and bright, charming and witty, head-strong and stubborn and all ours!

We love you to the moon and back, Pieper!

Happy 4th, Birthday!
